Ways to go to Srimangal:Srimangal can be reached directly from Dhaka by rail or road.Non AC buses of Hanif Enterprise, Shyamoli Paribahan, Sylhet Express etc. go to Srimangal from Fakirapool and Syedabad in Dhaka. Rent 350 to 400 taka. From Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station, Sylhet-bound Parabat Express at 6:40 a.m.every day except Tuesdays, Jayantika Express at 12:00 p.m., Kalani Express at 4:00 p.m. every day except Fridays, Upaban Express at 9:50 p.m. every day except Wednesdays to Moulvibazar's Srimangal or Kulaura. The fare from Dhaka to Srimangal is 2 hundred taka. Sobhon chair Tk 240, First chair Tk 320, First class berth Tk 480, Snigdha Tk 460, AC seat Tk 552, AC berth Tk 828. Besides, one can go by train directly from Chittagong to Srimangal or Kulaura of Maulvi Bazar.Sylhet- bound Paharika Express departs from Chittagong Railway Station at 8:45 a.m. every day except Monday and Udayan Express at 9:45 p.m. every day except Saturday. Paharika Express and Udayan Express leave for Chittagong from Srimangal every day except Saturday at 12:58 PM and Udayan Express at 11:24 PM every day except Non AC buses of Hanif Enterprise, Shyamoli Paribahan, Sylhet Express, Saudia Paribahan from Dhaka's Fakirapool and Syedabad to Maulvi Bazar via Srimangal. Fare from 3.50 to 380 taka in non AC bus. Tourist spots can be reached from Srimangal by CNG, bus, auto rickshaw, taxi. Each tourist spot also has a tourist guide.
Baikka Bill:
The name of a wetland[2] covering an area of about 100 hectares[2] east of Hail Howar in Srimangal, a famous tea-rich town in Moulvibazar district, 200 km northeast of Dhaka. On 1 July 2003, the Ministry of Lands of Bangladesh decided to reserve this bill as a sanctuary for fisheries resources. Ai, Kai, Meni, Foli, Pabda and many other species of fish breed here and spread throughout Howrah. This bill is an excellent safe habitat not only for fish but also for birds and many other animals. It is a stunning wetland with thousands of water lilies and lotus flowers. Besides, an observation tower has been constructed to better observe the wild inhabitants of this bill and the migratory birds arriving in winter.
Lawachara National Park:
One of the national parks of Bangladesh and a remarkable specimen of remaining evergreen forest. It is a protected forest area. It is one of the 7 wildlife sanctuaries and 10 national parks of Bangladesh. Located in Srimangal and Kamalganj upazilas of Moulvibazar district, this 1250 hectare forest is rich in biodiversity. Information board set up by Bangladesh Forest Department in Lauachra Udyan. The Bangladesh government declared this forest as a 'National Park' in 1997 AD. This forest is famous for the endangered owls. Apart from owls, there are several species of rareanimalinsects and plants.
Neelkantha seven color tea:
Saat Rong Cha is a popular hot beverage of Bangladesh.[1] Tea lovers flock from all over to taste this tea.[2] Each layer has different flavors ranging from syrupy-sweet to spicy cloves and is rainbow in color. Varneel.[3] Saat Rang tea is available at Nilakantha Tea Cabin, a famous tea shop located in Srimangal, Sylhet.[4] Ramesh Ram Gaur is the inventor of this Saat Rang tea.[2][5]
